Guests often ask why the shore sauna is always lit at four. The honest answer is that it is the best hour of the day.

By four the light has turned gold, the wind usually drops and the tide is high enough for a proper swim. The sauna is hot by half past.

How to use it

—  Swim first, then sauna, then the cold tap

—  Three rounds is plenty

—  Leave the door on the latch when you go

Other hours

If four does not suit you, tell us in the morning and we will light it at another time. It takes about forty minutes to heat.
